Updated 05/05/2017
Welcome to my website.  It will be updated weekly.  Please try to read each week to see what we are learning in class.

Important Dates:

May 26th - Fun Day
May 31st - 9:00 am - Kindergarten Graduation

Classroom Needs:
***We need snacks again.  The class likes goldfish, animal crackers, honeynut cheerios, pretzels, etc.  We could also use small treasures for our treasure box.

Our shared reading book will be "The Hungry Giant".  Our read aloud is "Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus!".  We are learning to research a topic and write about it in Writer's Workshop.  We are also reviewing blends and digraphs.  We are learning how to read independently and with a partner. Avid readers:  read a lot; find places everywhere to read; can't stop reading; keep a stack of books in waiting; and really pay attention to the book.
We are reviewing ALL sight words.  When your child recognizes all words he/she is a "Sight Word Star" and gets a star with his/her name on the bulletin board.
*Please keep encouraging your child to read on RAZZ kids.

We are learning about jobs and job skills.
Social Studies/Science
In Social Studies we will be discussing Mother's Day.
In Science we will learn about wild animals.

Homework Folders
Blue homework folders will come home on Monday.  There is an assignment for each night this week.  Please return the blue homework folder with the completed homework on Friday.  Students will get to pick a sticker from the sticker box to put on their homework.  Please have your child read on RAZZ kids atleast one night a week.
